Another Day, another dollar or is it?
We are settling into winter, and I am reminded of the wonderful hospitality my family received over holiday break. We traveled to our nations capital for a week. I was so impressed by the high level of standards in regards to manners. Everywhere we went, the tour guides, the restaurant staff, the hotel staff, the retail staff were amazing. They showed poise, grace and a natural concerned for our well being. The nations' capital should be proud! I only wish that the rest could have such high standards. I was reminded of the hard work we still need to do in the midwest. Why is is using good manners not a part of everyday practice for us locally. We must begin to have eye contact, we must begin to say the words: thank you, good morning, please, excuse me and good bye. Is it that hard to add those words and simple action into your daily routine? I am asking no begging that each os us start today to think of another, to show appreciation to another. before it is too late. Join me in this fight, make our city one with the nations' capital of one city that using their good manners. Thank you in advance.
